Volador in the Air – A Story from Pilot Frank Watson

by Qualisports USA on Aug 11 2022
Weeks ago, one of the most respected members of our Qualisports USA community, Mr. Frank Watson, shared a vlog of his experience with Volador with us. In the video, Mr. Watson presented how the advent of Volador became his aircraft on the ground when the pilot landed. Today, we are glad to share it in our blog website. Hope you will enjoy the communication and join us in the future.   Mr. Watson is a licensed pilot and has been flying for over 30 years, owning a single-engine plane and a multi-engine plane. After a long period of flight, Mr. Watson needs some convenient ground transportation to lead his way to the nearest hotel or restaurant.   He used to have a fold-up bicycle stored in the baggage compartment of his aircraft, while those big size wheels had to be removed in front of folding up. When there is no quick release on it, the folding-up procedure is no longer an easy way for flight preparation. Moreover, the bike was quite cheap but weighed a lot. Even short miles of rides after flight were still tiring and always drained the rider out with a sweaty shirt. That is why the advent of the E-bike has put Mr. Watson into consideration of replacing his stubborn old bike.   As to specific E-bike selection, Mr. Watson has four important requirements that have to be fulfilled. First and most critical, it must be small enough in dimension to fit in the baggage compartment of his aircraft. Also, it shall be assembled with qualified components. Thirdly, lightweight E-bikes are more competitive in a flying tournament. Fourth and also quite important is its cost-efficiency.   After comparison among varieties of E-bikes on the market, Volador from Qualisports USA is the most preferred one by Mr. Watson. Contrary to those large-size E-bikes, Volador is only 33.5 inches in length, 26.5 inches in height, and 16 inches in width after folding up with or without the battery bar removed either. Its dimension was exactly capable of fitting in Mr. Watson’s baggage compartment and benefited from its concise structure design. Thanks to its excellent weight control, 38 pounds of E-bike was easy to carry and suitable for a quick ride after the flight. As to its reassembly process, it was so quick and easy that anyone with experience could unfold and fix it within 30 seconds. With Volador’s powerful 36V 7Ah Samsung battery, the maximum range could reach even 31 miles, way stronger than its competitors, with proper pedal assistance. $1199 for a full aluminum bike frame, Shimano derailleur, and reliable disc-brake system have already been one of the most cost-efficient choices, let alone an additional discount on selling pages.        Easy, simple, but reliable, that is why Volador could become Mr. Watson’s favorite incomers; that is also why Volador could really become a flying fish in the air. We sincerely hope those practical experiences and advice can provide a more detailed and comprehensive impression of Volador, and wish you can join us in the near future.   Gratefulness for Mr. Frank Watson’s feedback video. Aircraft shown in the video is a 1966 BELLANCA 17-30 VIKING single engine aircraft from AviaBellanca Aircraft Corporation.   If you want to have a chance to meet with Volador in person, please access our offline corporator webpage and find the nearest store around you. We are also active participants in all kinds of exhibitions, and the latest one was AirVenture 2022, Oshkosh, at Booth: #383. Check with our community pages to see our next spot.

2023 USA NEWEST Guide To Electric Bikes Rebate

Last update time: 20/4/2023 In order to protect the environment, build cleaner cities, and improve the quality of resident's life, we should drive less and exercise more. Electric bicycles are the perfect choice for those drivers who are not too far away from their destinations. Also, it is a good choice for those who take their children to school and won't get stuck in traffic jams. Electric bikes can provide fast and efficient personal transportation. And most important, the rebate programs many US states have launched, can help reduce the cost of some expensive e-bikes, and let electric bikes more affordable to anyone than ever before. Looking for high quality electric bike in USA? Click here. When a national electric bike subsidy looked likely to last year, but finally failed. The good thing is, there are cities and states picked up. Vermont is the first state who launched the incentive program for electric bikes in the US. I think this is the exactly way how money should be spent, If you want to make efforts to invest in your state, by improving roads, improving resident's health and improving lives, be environmentally friendly, invest in transport like electric bikes, electric scooters will be a good choice. Most states adopt the same class 1,2,3 e-bike laws, so make sure you are aware of e-bike's class before purchasing an electric bicycle.   Quick look for e-bike rebates by states:   Texas                     California                      Colorado                   Connecticut Hawaii                   Massachusetts             Ohio                           Virginia New York              Oklahoma                     Rhode Island              Vermont Oregon                 Tennessee   Texas This state didn't have any statewide programs yet. But Austin does have substantial programs. For example, Austin Energy E-Ride rebates details are below:   For individual: $500-$999 e-bike gets a $200 rebate $1000-$1999 e-bike gets a $400 rebate $2000 and above e-bike gets a $600 rebate   For Individual Customer Assistance Program (CAP) Customers: $500-$999 e-bike gets a $300 rebate $1000-$1999 e-bike gets a $700 rebate $2000 and above e-bike gets a $1300 rebate   For riding fleet: $500-$999 e-bike gets a $400 rebate $1000-$1999 e-bike gets a $600 rebate $2000 and above e-bike gets an $800 rebate   Rebates above are affected since January 1, 2023. Also, there are restrictions such as you must receive electricity from Austin Energy, the electric bike must be new and must be purchased from Austin Energy's approved dealership list, incentive application must be submitted within 60 days of your purchase. For the riding fleet, there will be more restrictions: one must purchase between 5 to 25 qualified electric bikes and each e-bike of the fleet must display Austin Energy branding, all electric bikes must be in service for at least one year(exclude those e-bikes damaged beyond repair).   California About $10 million rebate in this state, includes class 1,2 electric bikes but excludes class 3 e-bikes. $750 for standard e-bikes, $1500 for cargo electric bicycles, or adaptive e-bikes. What's more, people whose income is below 225% FPL(Federal Poverty Level), or who live in DAC(Disadvantaged Community) are qualified for additional $250 incentives. Restrictions also, the buyer must be a California resident, electric bike stores must be in California, income cap must below 300% FPL.   Colorado It has approved a $12 million rebate, but now I can't find any details yet, latest news I can find said it will be available to individuals early summer 2023, now it is april 2023, it should be coming verrrrrry soon, I guess.   Connecticut This state's rebate for electric bikes is up to $750, this rebate depends on the e-bike price before any taxes or any extra fees. If you want to reach the highest rebate, you might need to purchase an e-bike that cost more than $2500. Restrictions are motor power no more than 750 watts (1 horsepower), pure electric top speed under 20 miles per hour, must be purchased from a store in Connecticut, must only used as personal transit and not for business.   Hawaii The state gives a 20%(up to $500) rebate for electric bicycle and electric motorcycles, but its restrictions seems just suitable for high school students. Buyer must above 18 years old, can not have a vehicle with 4 wheels or more, must be enrolled in school or university.   Massachusetts The rebate depends on your income, from $500(general) to $750(low income), suitable for class 1,2 e-bikes, total rebate is $1 million. If want more details, that will be expected in May or June of 2023.   Ohio I haven't found any statewide programs but city programs, Columbus offers a rebate up to $100 for purchasing an electric bicycle. The total rebate is $250,000.   Virginia This is an odd one I think, the law about this passed in 2021, but the founding never came, and nothing happened since that.   New York For class 1,2,3 electric bicycles, would offer 50% off e-bike purchases, up to $1,100.   Oklahoma If bill SB-435 is passed, it can provide a $200 tax credit towards new e-bike purchasing. Though it is not as attractive as other programs, it is better than nothing.   Rhode Island 75%(up to $1,000) of the cost of e-bike for low income household; for high income, the rebate will be 30%(up to $400). Can apply for class 1,2,3 electric bicycles. The total incentive amount will be $250,000 and the e-bikes must be purchased in Rhode Island.   Vermont The total rebate is $50,000 and $400 for each e-bike, but currently on hold because out of money. Restrictions said that must be a new electric bicycle, motor power must be 750 watt or less.   Oregon The new bill will offer $400 for general residents, people who make 80% of the area median income will be $1,200. The total amount of incentive is $6 million for the first two years, and $2 million of that would be used for rebating the low-income resident. The original bill would have funded a total of 5,000 rebates while the new bill can now fund double, about 10,000 rebates. And not required you own the electric bike for at least one year anymore. By the way, e-bike accessories purchased within the same transaction, such as a helmet or light, or lock, can also be covered by the rebate.   Tennessee There is no statewide program in this state, but Nashville does have programs in play consider a resolution dedicating $1 million of federal COVID founds for electric bike rebates. Basic level rebate is $300 for an electric bike and $500 for an electric cargo bike. The income-qualified rebate is up to $1400 for an electric bike and electric cargo bike, And suitable for class 1,2,3 electric bikes. What is 'income-suitable'? means people earning below 80% of the area median income for Nashville & Davidson County or below 200% of the FPL(Federal Poverty Level) Easy easy, don't be too excited, look at the latest progress in the picture below: 'deferred indefinity' in 4/4/2023.   ATTENTION: All information in the article above comes from an internet search, so it may be delayed, just for reference, for more specific details you should refer to local state release. by Qualisports USA on Oct 08 2019
On September 21st Stans Bike Shop hosted the LA famed “Dodgertown Bike Ride” which was sponsored by Qualisports USA together with a bounch of other sponsors. It is a mass Bicycle ride into Dodger Stadium and the only one authorized by Major League Baseball in the country.   This event was organized by Carlos Morales who has several dozen group rides in the span of 10 years under his belt. Morales is the owner of Stans Bike Shop located in Azusa CA which carries full line of Qualisports USA folding electric bikes. This was the 5th time he has taken a group of Cyclist up to see the Los Angeles Dodgers play.   Stans Bike Shop sells the Qualisports USA line of E-bikes and thought it was a great idea to partner up with Qualisports USA for this event, as a promotional launch of the newly redesigned more powerful 20” Fat Tire “Beluga” and the introduction of the “Dolphin”. The Beluga, Dolphin and Volador were utilized to marshal the ride.     They were decorated with a custom LA Dodger Wheel Disc, Silkscreened baseball shirts were printed with the Dodgertown Bike Ride Logo and they also produced limited edition Pins for this iconic event which were all a hit with the 75 participants who came to experience this bike ride. Morales stated, “I was very curious to see if the Beluga was capable of assisting me climb the hills at Chavez Ravine. I am a big man, larger than most cyclist, so it was something on the back of my mind. I was very impressed (and relieved) that the Beluga’s robust 500 Watt Geared Motor Drive was able to conquer these hills without hesitation. (The power was there when I needed it the most). I named the Beluga the Beauty and the Beast of E Bikes with Great Looks and impressive Strength”.      The “Dolphin” is Qualisports newest edition to their fleet. The sleek frame sits on 20 x 2.35” tires and it is capable of traveling 50 Miles Plus on a single charge and is equipped with a 350Watt Geared Hub Motor Drive making it a perfect commuter bicycle for treks that require longer distances. Most of the participants were not aware that they were looking at electric bikes at first glance because of their design. When they found out that they were all e-bikes they were intrigued to learn more about these bikes and really became interested in them when they see us made it up the hills. After the game, the group was taken on a brief tour of Downtown Los Angeles to see the sights.   Qualisports designs and manufactures four quality e-bikes for under $1,500 with the cyclist experience always on their mind.     Come test ride one at Stans Bike Shop.
